New Jersey Positive Behavior Support in Schools (NJ PBSIS) Resources to Support Educators, Students, and Families During COVID-19
The NJ PBSIS initiative, sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Education, Office of Special Education in collaboration with The Boggs Center, has compiled tools and resources to support educators and parents with remote learning and returning to school. In addition to tools and resources, includes NJ PBSIS Network examples for promoting attendance and engagement, virtual incentive systems, virtual expectations, and implementation manuals from NJ PBSIS Network schools.
Resources: Community Living Skills for Students with Disabilities was developed by The Boggs Center’s Community-Based Instruction (CBI) initiative, a collaborative effort with the New Jersey Department of Education, Office of Special Education, to provide educators with tools, activities, curricula, and articles to supplement and enhance instruction that supports students with disabilities in acquiring and maintaining essential community living skills in the time of COVID-19.

It is meant to serve as a conversation starter and to guide discussion between a parent and a trusted advisor, such as a pediatric health provider.
