This social story helps readers understand why it’s important to get a COVID-19 vaccine and what to expect before, during, and after vaccination. Direct Support Professionals, family members, and other supporters can use this social story to prepare people with intellectual and developmental disabilities for getting a COVID-19 vaccine by printing or sharing on a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

COVID-19 Vaccine Facts Series
The Boggs Center on Disability and Human Development created a Vaccine Facts Series to address common myths and concerns about COVID-19 vaccines through funding from the federal Administration on Community Living. Available in English, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Haitian Creole, Hindi, Portuguese, and Tagalog, the series includes resources with information to promote vaccination in the disability community.
