Melissa is a Senior Training and Consultation Specialist for the Community Positive Behavior Support project at The Boggs Center on Disability and Human Development. Melissa provides training and technical assistance to community support agencies. Melissa has worked in the field as a trainer, counselor, advocate, and behavior specialist for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Melissa received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Montclair State University and earned her Masters Degree in Public Health from Rutgers School of Public Health (formerly UMDNJ.) Melissa has also completed research in the areas of mental health and promoting healthy behaviors. Melissa serves as the Chairperson of the NADD, an international professional association dedicated to advancing mental wellness for persons with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities, Direct Support Professional Certification Committee. She has been active in the committee since it was established in 2007. A NADD Certified Clinician, Melissa has been published in the organization’s Bulletin, contributed to other publications, and presented nationally at annual NADD Conferences since 2008.
