Manuel “Manny” Jimenez, MD, MS is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics & Family Medicine and Community Health at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Director of Research at The Boggs Center on Disability and Human Development, and an Attending Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician at Children’s Specialized Hospital. He also serves as Research Director for the Children’s Specialized Hospital/Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship.
Dr. Jimenez’s work focuses on promoting optimal developmental health for children and their families and making the health system more responsive to their needs. He uses quantitative, qualitative, and community engaged research methods to ask policy-relevant research questions as well as propose and test sustainable solutions to real-world problems impacting children and their families. His work has been supported by funding from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and others.
Dr. Jimenez served as a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics' Bright Futures 4th edition National Preventive Care Guidelines Expert Panel. He is a co-editor of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, 5th edition, editorial board member for the Journal of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, and state physician champion for Help Me Grow New Jersey.
