Johan Enrique Ayala is a research assistant at The Boggs Center on Disability and Human Development. He is responsible for recruiting, consenting, enrolling participants and conducting surveys and interviews, and data analysis. He graduated from Brown University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology (Biotechnology and Physiology Track), tailoring his liberal arts education to one that also focused on the social context of diseases. Johan intends to pursue a medical degree to become a primary care physician, advocate for under-resourced communities, and address health disparities.
